Yes it is true. I am completely and hopelessly suffering from writer's block. I have been working on a multi-chapter self help book for women that will, if I can ever finish it, help them to find their kinky side.
I know, it is a great idea in theory right? Who doesn't want to find that part of themselves that will allow them to further experience joy in the bedroom? And up to this point each chapter has gone swimmingly, with no problems. I just slid right through them. Chapters on such yummy topics as Fellatio, the Why and How, and How to Help Your Man Feel Better About Himself, So He Can Look His Best For You...even a really great one on Jumping Feet First Into Bondage By Testing the Waters.
And then I came to the chapter on submission. Now you wouldn't think this would be hard for me to write, considering my experience with the subject. And yet, I froze. Solid. Stuck. It's not the part about submission that gives me trouble. It's the other side of that coin. I thought I understood it very well, and am finding that I don't actually know anything about it. Being on the receiving end, as I am, I have a hard time explaining and expressing just what it is a Dominant man wants, how he feels, what he thinks, cares about, etc. So that is why I am hopelessly stuck.
I know you are all thinking that the obvious thing to do is ask my husband. Unfortunately he is unavailable for what he might think is nonsense, and my writing direction is such that I follow a specific outline. I have to do it this way. It is the only way I work, unless I get stuck. Which I currently am. Hm.
