Philosophy...Not Sex

There comes a time in everyone's life when great changes come over us and we lose control of a situation we once thought to be completely in check. Circumstances, actions, devices, yes, even desires all contrive to bring about an alteration in your dreams, your hopes, your plans, your thoughts. Marriages end, children grow up and leave home, loved ones die and pass through our fingers. All leave behind an imprint on our hearts, our souls, our memories, and sometimes, even our asses!

Of course, it is how you cope with situations that strike the core of your being that define you; that is what leaves the truly indelible mark. You have many choices open to you, too. You can run headlong into self-destruction. You can seek solace in your friends and loved ones. You can do nothing at all and reveal to yourself and those you hold dear that hidden inside is someone they've not seen in a long time. Or, for the fun of it, you can hire a professional disciplinarian to show you the light. So what if it's a glowing red one!

Everyone undergoes these changes. If we did not, we would cease to learn. And it is through learning that we discover the other side of this visceral coin. Some marriages last forever. Some children return home to fill their parents' lives with joy. And some loved ones do live forever, even if it is only in your memory. Oh, but the imprint of a hand on your ass? Well, that one requires frequent visits to the spanker of your choice.
...change is good...
